Airbus delivered 78 aircraft to Chinese carriers in 2009, accounting for 16 percent of its combined global deliveries, Airbus China said Tuesday. The in-service Airbus fleet in China’s mainland topped 537 as of December 2009, accounting for 41 percent of the total fleet of aircraft with more than 100 seats, said the firm.
