How can you better your chances to get an aviation slot in the army, coming from AROTC?
It has been my dream to fly in the Army, and I would do anything to get myself there. I am wondering what all of the tips or tricks to get that aviation slot are and also what tests you have to take?

Just stay at the very top of your OML, then you shouldn’t have any problems. They’ll really stick it to you on you’re contract though, I know a guy who signed for 12 years just so he could branch aviation, this would be a deterrent for some, but it all depends on how bad you wanna fly. So unless you know some one with alot of rank, just keep up your gpa, that’s the only advise I can give you.
As far as Tests, you have to take the AFAST army flight aptitude standardized test, or something like that, don’t worry about it though, its a joke. Buy a study guide from barns and noble, and look over it a few times before you take it. Its not anything hard though, probably easier than the asvab. If you’ve got any other questions along the way feel free to email me. Good luck.
